From Palms to Resurrection: Walking Through the Final Days of Holy Week.

Holy Week is the most sacred journey in the Christian calendar—a path that leads from celebration to sacrifice, from sorrow to unimaginable hope. It invites believers to slow down and walk closely with Jesus through His final days on earth. Each moment carries deep spiritual meaning, drawing us into the heart of God’s redemptive plan. As we reflect on these events, we prepare our hearts not just to remember the resurrection, but to truly experience its power.

Palm Sunday — Gospel of Matthew 21:1–11

The week begins with celebration. Jesus enters Jerusalem riding on a donkey, fulfilling prophecy and revealing the nature of His kingship—not one of power and conquest, but of humility and peace.

Crowds gather, waving palm branches and shouting, “Hosanna!” They believe their long-awaited King has come to deliver them. Yet many misunderstand the kind of kingdom Jesus is establishing.

Palm Sunday challenges us to ask: Do we follow Jesus for who He truly is, or for who we want Him to be?

Even today, it is possible to praise Him with our lips while missing His purpose in our lives. Lent calls us to surrender our expectations and welcome the true King into our hearts.

Palm Sunday: The King Who Came ln Humility.

Maundy Thursday:Love That Serves.

Maundy Thursday — Gospel of John 13:1–17

On this night, Jesus gathers with His disciples for the Last Supper. Knowing that the cross is near, He does something unexpected—He kneels and washes their feet.

This act of humility redefines greatness. The King of kings becomes a servant.

Jesus also institutes Communion, breaking bread and sharing the cup, pointing to His body and blood that will soon be given for the world.

Maundy Thursday reminds us that love is not merely spoken—it is demonstrated. True discipleship is marked by humility, service, and sacrificial love.

In a world that often seeks status and recognition, Jesus shows us a different way: the way of servanthood.

Good Friday: The Cost of Redemption.

Good Friday — Gospel of John 19:16–30

Good Friday is the darkest day of Holy Week. Jesus is betrayed, mocked, beaten, and crucified.

At the cross, we see both the depth of human sin and the immeasurable love of God. Jesus willingly takes our place, bearing the weight of our sin so that we might be reconciled to God.

His final words, “It is finished,” are not words of defeat—but of Victory. The debt of sin has been paid in full.

This day invites deep reflection. It reminds us that Grace is not cheap—it came at the highest cost.

As we stand at the foot of the cross, we are confronted with a powerful truth: We are more sinful than we realized, yet more loved than we ever imagined.

Holy Saturday: Waiting ln The Silence.

A day of waiting and uncertainty

Holy Saturday is often overlooked, yet it carries profound meaning. It is a day of silence, grief, and waiting.

The disciples are in hiding. Their hopes seem shattered. The One they believed in is gone.

This day reflects the seasons in our own lives when God feels silent—when prayers seem unanswered and hope feels distant.

But Holy Saturday teaches us an important truth: Silence is not absence. God is still at work, even when we cannot see it.

In the stillness, something is happening beneath the surface. The story is not over.

EASTER SUNDAY:The victory of life.

Easter Sunday — Gospel of Matthew 28:1–10

The silence is broken. The tomb is empty. Jesus has risen.

Easter Sunday is the triumph of life over death, hope over despair, and light over darkness. It is the cornerstone of the Christian faith.

The resurrection is not just an event to celebrate—it is a reality that transforms lives. Because Jesus lives, we have hope. Because He conquered death, we have eternal life.

The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us today.

Easter invites us into new beginnings. It reminds us that no matter how dark our circumstances may seem, resurrection is always possible with God.

Living the Message of Holy Week
